--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below is the basic structure of how this system works. Please read it carefully so that you may partake in it knowing full well how it works.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Councils:
There is a Council for both Light and Dark.
---Light Council---
City of Light - Dantooine
People from any guild are be able to join the Light Council. However you will need to move your house there and declare residency.
Light Council Leader:
To maintain Council Leader on the Light Side, you must convince others to vote for you. A vote will be held every three weeks, in accordance with the mayor cycle. The winner will be voted in as mayor of City of Light and become the new Council Leader. On the Light Side, the Council Leader's true power would be in the Council as all rules would be decided upon through voting.
LIGHT Jedi Ranks:
Jedi Master: The Council Leader
Jedi Knight: A member who is part of the Jedi Council and is currently training a Padawan.
Jedi Sentinel: A member who only wishes to partake in PVP and not the inner workings of the Council.
Jedi Padawan/Apprentice: A member who is under training from a Jedi Knight and wants to someday join the Council.
---Dark Council---
City of Light - Dantooine
You MUST be a member of DFL to obtain a DARK council seat.
It is not a requirement to live within the city.
DARK"- DARK"
All members of DARK" must be aligned to the Imperial faction to assist in the GCW.
Members with active rebel alts are warned not to engage your DARK" brethern in GCW or you could face expulsion.
Dark Council Leader:
All the Council Members are to vote for who they want as a Leader, a vote can be called by the leader or a counciler but it must be seconded by another counciler before being accepted. The top two (2) are to then duel to be the Leader. If There is only one winner, there is no need to duel. If there is a tie for second, then those that came in second must duel. Obviously for the Dark Side, the Council Leader would hold a lot more power over the Council. However a degree of voting must still exist to make the system fair. It is up to those involved to make this work though RP.
DARK Jedi Ranks:
DarK Jedi Overlord: The Dark Council Leader
Dark Jedi Master: A member who is part of the Dark Council and is currently training an Apprentice.
Dark Jedi Sentinel: A member who is not currrently involved in the inner workings of the Dark Council.
Dark Jedi Apprentice: A member who is under training from a Dark Jedi Master and wants to someday join the Council.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Master/Apprentice Scheme:
Every Jedi on the Council must take on a Padawan/Apprentice. You must be training a Padawan/Apprentice in order to remain on the Council. Once a Master is happy that their Padawan/Apprentice is ready to join the Council (the Padawan/Apprentice must be at least level 80), he informs the Council. (For further details, see Trials below).
On the Light Side, a vote will be sent out to all those on the Council and if it returns positive, then that Padawan is elected to a Council seat and given a Padawan to train (and Knight status - See Jedi Ranks). This vote is VERY serious and must be decided upon based on how much involvement the Padawan has had in events etc. and helping the Council.
On the Dark Side, the Master is to duel the Apprentice and if the Apprentice wins, then his pupil will join the Council. If the Master refuses to duel his Apprentice, the Apprentice has the option to approach the Council Leader and the Leader can make the Master duel his Apprentice. This is up to the Leader etc. to work out. (For further details, see Trials below).
It is up to the Padawan/Apprentice Trainer to make sure every Council Member has a Padawan/Apprentice. You may have two if you want. However it is recommended that one of them is above at least level 60 to decrease your work load. Failure to get a Padawan/Apprentice will result in being put on trial in front of the Council. This is up to the Council Leader to enforce.
A Padawan/Apprentice MUST have a Master who is on the Council. If the Master is not on the Council, then the Council can not accept them as a member. (See Status Of Requirements to see which Jedi are on the Council).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trials:
Trials will be set by your Master. The following Trials for each side are examples of what you might expect. A Master is free to set any trial they see fit but must always advise the apprentice trainer.
Light Side - galaxieslvd.proboards83.com/index.cgi?board=light&action=display&thread=1137827627
Dark Side - galaxieslvd.proboards83.com/index.cgi?board=dark&action=display&thread=1137828329
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Padawan/Apprentice Trainers:
Both sides will have Apprentice/Padawan Trainers. They are to make sure members on the Councils have Padawans/Apprentices at all times. They will inform the Council Leader if this rule has been broken. If you need any advice on training your Padawan/Apprentice, please contact them.
Current Trainers:
Light - Cerneo
Dark - Inta
*** Respect MUST be given to Trainers at all times. They work very hard for you. Insulting a Trainer is a an offense that could have you on trial in front of the Council. ***
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Guild War:
Inside the two towns, two guilds have been setup. A Light Side (LIGHT) guild and a Dark Side guild (DARK"). These guilds will be forever in a guild war. Being in constant pvp will improve your skills and make you a more eligible candidate to win the Dark Side duels for Council Leader. Each guild will have a Mediator (see below) and their job will be to enforce the rules.
PvP Rules -
galaxieslvd.proboards83.com/index.cgi?board=system&action=display&thread=1148873741
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Mediator:
The Mediator is essentially the guild leader. His/her only job will be to make sure that the guild war runs smoothly and fairly. Both sides will have a Mediator. If for instance a Jedi from the Light Side abuses a Jedi from the Dark Side. The Dark Jedi is to tell his Mediator and the Mediator is to then contact the Light Side Mediator. The Light Side Mediator will then approach the Council with the issue and a vote will be passed as to whether disciplinary action will take place due to the breaching of the 'fair play' rule. Such actions could be demotion from the Council to Padawan or even removal from the entire Council (or guild).
Screenshots must be supplied as evidence. Failure to produce screenshots will mean that no further action will take place.
The tasks of the Mediator are (but not limited to):
- Make sure that the rules are followed in the Guild War.
- Make sure that everyone is informed with the rules and any changes that take place.
- Make sure that the System runs as is laid out here (with help from the Council Leader).
- Know the system in and out. (Both PvP and Council)
- Make sure that the Council runs fair elections in the case that the Council Leader refuses to follow the rules.
- Be a point of contact for those in the Council who seek guidance about the system.
- Work well with the Council Leader to make sure things are fun and enjoyable for all.
- Keep this post up to date.
Current Mediators:
Light -
Dark - Eswilin
*** Respect MUST be given to Mediators at all times. They work very hard for you. Insulting a Mediator is a an offense that could have you on trial in front of the Council. ***
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jedi Sentinel:
The Jedi Sentinel is a member of the PVP guild who is not engaged in the Council or Master/Apprentice system. They are simply there to enjoy the PvP value of the guild. This was created for those that really don't want to get too deeply involved in the workings of the voting system and Council etc.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And also:
1) Treat others how you want to be treated, fight and play fair with honor.
2) LFG Tag = what LFG tag there isnt one anymore as agreed to both sides so u are attackable everywhere and anywhere.
3) Covert Zones (no attacking):
- Mensix Facility (This includes the ramp outside of the facility, and the landing platform.)
- Kashyyyk
- City of Light
- City of Darkness.
4) Clone wherever u want but remember cloners are fair game. ( clarification, if you don't want to be cloned ganked, then don't clone gank others!!!!!
However, if you don't want to be cloned ganked then don't do it to others.
Honorable thing is to not clone gank, what come around, goes around, same with LOAD Ganking and afk killing
5) Ranged weaponry usage. If and only if you are in an SOE forced pvp zone you may use ranged weaponry. This includes the starport at restuss. As of right now there are only 4 places to use these types of weapons, Restuss, and each of the Rebel and Imp Forward bases.
