Hey all,
Below is the basic structure of how this system works. Please read it carefully so that you may partake in it knowing full well how it works.
The Council:
There is a Council for both Light and Dark. The Council exist within a town on Dantooine (Light Side) and Lok (Dark Side). People from any guild are be able to join the Council. However you will need to move your house there and declare residency. The Council Leader will be elected through the use of the town voting system. Therefore the Mayor of the city would be the Council Leader. (Both Light and Dark)
*** The Council will communicate through the use of a chat channel set up for this - Light and Dark in the public Chatrooms. Please talk to your Mediator for details on accessing them. ***
Council Leader:
The position of Council Leader (both Light and Dark) is an honour. You MUST be in the Jedi PVP Guild (see below) to be able to become Jedi Council Leader. Becoming Council Leader is different for both sides (please see below) however both have similar responsibilities. Your tasks are (but not limited to):
- Making sure the System Structure is followed by ALL members, both Council and Guild.
- If someone breaks the rules, then the Leader must make sure they are dealt with. (By standing on trial etc.)
- Making sure that the voting system for the next Council Leader is held fairly.
- Organising and holding weekly Council Meetings.
- Ensuring that all members of the Council have Padawans, are declared and on the militia list. (The Trainer will help keep track of this).
- Knowing the System in and out.
- Providing advice to Council Members who seek guidance on how the System works. (If Padawans/Apprentices need advice they are to see their Master. If Sentinels need advice they are to seek out their Mediator).
Light Council Leader:
To maintain Council Leader on the Light Side, you must convince others to vote for you. A vote will be held every three weeks, in accordance with the mayor cycle. The winner will be voted in as mayor of City of Light and become the new Council Leader. On the Light Side, the Council Leader's true power would be in the Council as all rules would be decided upon through voting.
Dark Council Leader:
On the Dark Council you must win a duel. When the time for a new election has come, all the Council Members are to vote for who they want as a Leader. The top two (2) are to then duel to be the Leader. If There is only one winner, there is no need to duel. If there is a tie for second, then those that came in second must duel. After the winner of the duel is decided, everyone will then go and vote that person in as the mayor of the City of Darkness. Obviously for the Dark Side, the Council Leader would hold a lot more power over the Council. However a degree of voting must still exist to make the system fair. It is up to those involved to make this work though RP.
Council Member:
A Council Member is a person who is on the Council (either gone through the Master/Apprentice Scheme OR joined at the begining of the system). By being a member of the Council, you will attain the rank of Jedi Knight. Their job is (but not limited to):
- Keep their Padawan/Apprentice up to date with the latest dealings of the Council.
- Train their Padawan/Apprentice up to a level that will make them strong enough to join the Council.
- Attend Council Meetings and provide feedback on the current issues of the Council.
- Uphold the System Structure to the best of their ability.
- Guide, teach and lead their Padawan/Apprentice through their growth. Informing them of all things that are related to not only being a Jedi, but also being an important member of the System.
- Be a supportive member of the Council.
- Inform the Council Leader of any breach in the rules.
- Ensure that they always have a Padawan under their training.
Master/Apprentice Scheme:
Every Jedi on the Council must take on a Padawan/Apprentice. You must be training a Padawan/Apprentice in order to remain on the Council. Once a Master is happy that their Padawan/Apprentice is ready to join the Council (the Padawan/Apprentice must be at least level 80), he informs the Council. (For further details, see Trials below).
On the Light Side, a vote will be sent out to all those on the Council and if it returns positive, then that Padawan is elected to a Council seat and given a Padawan to train (and Knight status - See Jedi Ranks). This vote is VERY serious and must be decided upon based on how much involvement the Padawan has had in events etc. and helping the Council.
On the Dark Side, the Master is to duel the Apprentice and if the Padawan wins, then his pupil will join the Council. If the Master refuses to duel his Apprentice, the Apprentice has the option to approach the Council Leader and the Leader can make the Master duel his Apprentice. This is up to the Leader etc. to work out. (For further details, see Trials below).
It is up to the Padawan/Apprentice Trainer to make sure every Council Member has a Padawan/Apprentice. You may have two if you want. However it is recommended that one of them is above at least level 60 to decrease your work load. Failure to get a Padawan will result in being put on trial in front of the Council. This is up to the Council Leader to enforce.
A Padawan/Apprentice MUST have a Master who is on the Council. If the Master is not on the Council, then the Council can not accept them as a member. (See Status Of Requirements to see which Jedi are on the Council).
Trials:
You can view the following Trials for each side by clicking on the link below that corresponds to your side.

The Padawan/Apprentice Trainers:
There will be two people leading the training for Padawans/Apprentices. They are to make sure that all members on the Council have Padawans/Apprentices at all times. They will inform the Council Leader if this rule has been broken. If you need any advice on training your Padawan/Apprentice, please contact them. Their other tasks are (but not limited to):
- Make sure that all Council Members are informed with regards to changes to the Padawan/Knight trials.
- Make sure the Council Leader is kept up to date with all things regarding training.
- Provide guidance to Council Members when required with regards to training.
- Keep the post on this website up to date with the status of those that have Padawans/Apprentice.
- Know the System in and out.
- Ensure all trials are completed properly.
- Advise the Council on possible final trials.
Current Trainers:
Light - Semhut
Dark - Nam
*** Respect MUST be given to Trainers at all times. They work very hard for you. Insulting a Trainer is a an offense that could have you on trial in front of the Council. ***
The Guild War:
Inside the two towns, two guilds have been setup. A Light Side (LIGHT) guild and a Dark Side guild (DARK-). These guilds will be forever in a guild war. It is optional to those involved in the Council to join these two guilds. Being in constant pvp will improve your skills and make you a more eligible candidate to win the Dark Side duels for Council Leader. Each guild will be lead by a Mediator (see below) and their job will be to enforce the rules.
PvP Rules - galaxieslvd.proboards83.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=system&thread=1148873741&page=1
The Mediator:
The Mediator is essentially the guild leader. His/her only job will be to make sure that the guild war runs smoothly and fairly. Both sides will have a Mediator. If for instance a Jedi from the Light Side abuses a Jedi from the Dark Side. The Dark Jedi is to tell his Mediator and the Mediator is to then contact the Light Side Mediator. The Light Side Mediator will then approach the Council with the issue and a vote will be passed as to whether disciplinary action will take place due to the breaching of the 'fair play' rule. Such actions could be demotion from the Council to Padawan or even removal from the entire Council (or guild).
Screenshots must be supplied as evidence. Failure to produce screenshots will mean that no further action will take place.
The Mediator is not a leader, but more of a manager. The tasks of the Mediator are (but not limited to):
- Make sure that the rules are followed in the Guild War.
- Make sure that everyone is informed with the rules and any changes that take place.
- Make sure that the System runs as is laid out here (with help from the Council Leader).
- Know the system in and out. (Both PvP and Council)
- Make sure that the Council runs fair elections in the case that the Council Leader refuses to follow the rules.
- Be a point of contact for those in the Council who seek guidance about the system.
- Work well with the Council Leader to make sure things are fun and enjoyable for all.
- Keep this post up to date.
Current Mediators:
Light - Strife
Dark - Ronet
*** Respect MUST be given to Mediators at all times. They work very hard for you. Insulting a Mediator is a an offense that could have you on trial in front of the Council. ***
BH Guild:
There is room in this system to add a BH Guild at some stage. This would allow others who are non jedi to get involved. They'd obviously be at war with both guilds and could certainly add some interesting action to the mix. This aspect will be coming soon.
Jedi Sentinel:
The Jedi Sentinel is a member of the PVP guild who does not want to engage in the Council or Master/Apprentice system. They are simply there to enjoy the PvP value of the guild. This was created for those that really don't want to get too deeply involved in the workings of the voting system and Council etc.
Jedi Ranks:
Jedi Master: The Council Leader
Jedi Knight: A member who is part of the Jedi Council and is currently training a Padawan.
Jedi Sentinel: A member who only wishes to partake in PVP and not the inner workings of the Council.
Jedi Padawan/Apprentice: A member who is under training from a Jedi Knight and wants to someday join the Council.
Statue of Requirements:
It is up to the Council Leader and Trainers to keep the posts below up to date so that everyone can see the status of the members of the Council Leaders.
