Since we were requested to continue posting on rankings...
I like everything in Semhut's ranking system here, except the Jedi Knight rank. I think the good points are that it adds a couple more ranks, which everyone seems to want, and it keeps some of the good points from the origional rankings. I'm not strongly opposed to the Jedi Knight rank here, but my concerns are basically listed in the above posts.
Regarding Washko's post, Sentinels are not currently prevented from training a Padawan of course, but that Padawan and his/her trials would never be recognized by the council.

To be honest, there are people within the Council that have been there since it started and yet still have not chosen a Padawan to train. That's 5-7 weeks it is taking people to pick someone to train up. Even though it's clearly meant to be a requirement to stay on the Council.
IMO this is a perfect example as to why we shouldn't make the system any more complicated than it already is. If we can't keep track of those that are meant to be training Jedi right now, what's the point in expanding it? If we give people an option to train people off the Council, why would people stay on the Council? As it is we are shrinking... (and about to get smaller)

Check the padawan status post. The only person who is an original Council Member not listed with a Padawan is Washko and that is because of an error on my part.
I disagree that we are shrinking also. We have added two council members with one more being added next week most likely, we added 3 new padawans to the guild last night...how are we shrinking?
I feel we are keeping track of everything also. There is a gap right now between the number of masters and the number of padawans seeking masters. By the time a level 40 gets a master he will be level 80 or better and will not really need a master like he would have at 40. By having more people capable of training padawans in our system we will close that gap somewhat. The way we will keep new players excited about the system is by getting them involved and this is a way to do that. Most of the people who are in game often are padawans and i am sure it frustrating when their master is not on to help them or talk to them.
