Why use anything but Recon?

I have two toons and one has full assault and almost full support and the other is full recon and I am going to do full engineer next. After playing the different toons I wonder why anyone would play anything except recon? Once you get the Lambert Carbine combined with the det packs and APM you are crazy good at killing people especially in defense. You can leave APM everywhere and get kills without really doing anything. I typically die often enough that dropping them fast doesnt ever hurt me. On titan defense...dont get me started. You and a support (I know I just said why play anything else but recon) can hold a corridor for a long time.

Combine that with being able to snipe people when you feel like switching it up and WOW. Recon is where its at for me. I am doing engineer as my other line on this toon so I can get vehicle mines for titan missle defense.

Assault seems to have the advantage of healing and rezzing. Support has the sentry and machine guns along with ammo bins. Both are good as support profs but overall I think recon rocks.

Any thoughts?

To me there isnt really much difference between the guns from class to class. It seems like there should be more noticable difference.

Flaw with recon: If you're attempting to find a good sniping area and run into someone who's, say, assault using a Voss, you're basically screwed. You won't be able to aim your sniper rifle well enough to get off a killing shot at that range, and if you're using a sidearm it's unlikely you'll be able to deal enough damage to the Voss user to kill them before they kill you.

That's just one flaw.

I find the pistol good for some things, taking ona voss is not one of them.

Also staying in one place as a sniper is a really bad idea, Every time I use a clip or two I am moving.
