I will be seeking a vote in time to allow players that hide in the theed river system to be shot dead with ranged weapons/droids. There is a distinct difference between hiding in the river and crossing it and if enemy players are on both sides well you have no hope, so you may as well get out and fight with some dignity.

Why stop there. Why not disallow force running?
Ever think that person is in the river so they can call in back up? Dont like it? Dont chase.

Quydoewan
wait man, just wait, go back to the PVP rules that we have set up,
NO WHERE dose it say that you can use a rifle to shoot people in the river, or lake. Range weapon can only be used againt other range professsion, ie BH's. The river is a safe zone for pvp, if a person dosent want to fight. Now if they come out of the water, then yes, the fight is on. And one other thing, you can use your ***RANGE SPECIALs*** to hit someone in the water, haha, that is legal in my book, but no rifles.
SABER's only, againt another JEDI in our system.
Seeking a vote, will get you nowhere, because i will block any attemt to change the rules from what they are now. They are plain an simple, on the type of weapon to be used in combat.

Dunn, The river cannot be a "safe zone" as you have stated if ranged specials can be used. The issue is the rifles which i understand and agree with. I suppose i can only live in the hope a BH will arrive and finish the job for me whilst they are floundering around in the river.
Semhut i raised a valid point that causes frustration, statements like "Why stop there. Why not disallow force running?" serve no purpose and yeild no result as they are written from emotion and not thought.

you coud always havea gun out to allow force shock the ranged to hit them but still I think if you cross the river then your safe by FR into phoenix city..

I agree with Dunn epoe, in that we shouldn't even equipp a gun, i would be happy if they crossed and ran, but they stay in the river, and like semhut said, prolly call for back up and then flank us when the others arrive. but i will have to consider other tactics for this.

We could always swim next to them and let loose some warm water. That might gross them out of the water!

Yeah that might scare out some of the weaker people. But the tough guys like me will just be like "Eh... whatever. It's going down stream so I don't have to worry about it." lol

What I don't get is why it takes 5 people to jump one guy in the river. It makes no sense and looks like the group is despirate to get a kill. Sure the river isn't a safe place because it's still in Theed, but come on people. What's one guy gonna do if he's in the river by himself? It's not like he can call in a team and gain any strategic advantage, when no one's paying attention to him.

its when no-ones paying attention to him that he gains the advantage, and he can most certainly call in a team and he will hold an excellent position for recon and the ability to be on the battlefield wihtin seconds once we are engaging other light. Agreed most times its one or two, but we have had as many as 5 held up in the river, i am certaily not going to turn my back on that.
It may be my old pre-cu BH roots but i want to kill him, specially cause hes hiding or he thinks hes safe.

lol! Quy, you are ruthless...a good trait in a leader of Dark Jedi!
Actually, I do see & agree with Quy in some sense. The only thing I would add to this is that EVERYONE calls for help in any guild war or faction war. That can never change.
What I do when a bunch of us are fighting LIGHT I enlarge my overhead map and look for a bunch of fast-movers. Anyone who's been a group with me will no that I like to type "DOTS!" when I see more coming.
Actually, with a possible new position in guild (WarLord) it should be someone who can think that way. Scouts, Lookouts, 'Tanks' & 'Scrappers'...we should all have a role in a group other than just hack & slash.

My comments always server a purpose Quy...it nothing else they make me laugh sometimes when i re-read them. I understand your frustration at people jumping in a river, but oh well. Get over it. I hate it when people run from me. I say we disallow forcerun.

Unfortunatly if I don't force run I die! I am only lvl 86 going against a lvl 90 with more health than me. I have to force run the hell out of there if I am to live and heal. If I were lvl 90 I would stand against the best and hack and slash all day without running away. If you take away force run then lvl 90's can't use any of thier speacial powers when facing lower lvl jedi. How about them apples!
